Supporting Schools with Speech and Language Therapy

I work with schools across North Devon to support children and young people in developing their communication skills. My approach is flexible and collaborative, designed to meet the unique needs of each school and the children within it.

I can work with schools in a variety of ways, including:

• Carrying out assessments to understand individual children’s communication strengths and needs
• Providing therapy sessions for children within the school environment
• Advising and supporting staff to embed communication strategies into daily routines
• Collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments
• Delivering tailored training sessions for staff to build confidence in supporting children’s communication

My focus is always on building children’s confidence, celebrating their strengths, and helping them to achieve meaningful progress in both learning and social communication.
